Self-Assessment and Reflection
*Details:
This assignment focuses on the tenet of conscious leadership, the importance of self-assessment, and reflection. Self-awareness is essential for developing management and leadership skills. Recognizing your own strengths, weaknesses, and values, and understanding emotional intelligence and learning styles can help you to be a more effective leader. Becoming self-aware is an ongoing process requiring introspection. The more often people practice self-reflection, the more opportunities they have to understand their own behaviors and adapt their approaches to working with other people, which can improve both your own and other’s abilities to meet their professional goals.
Self-Assessment
For this assignment, you have the opportunity to take a variety of self-assessments to learn more about yourself and identify your assets and weaknesses as a leader. This will assist you in discovering how you can improve your own self-leadership skills. You will be asked to think critically about your results and submit a reflection as directed below. As a starting point, review the resources on conscious capitalism at: http://www.consciouscapitalism.org/. There are several helpful resources, including white papers and speech transcripts, available under the Content tab on the main page of this site. Conduct additional research beyond this website on the principle of conscious leadership.
Refer to the “Self-Assessment Links” resource in Topic Materials and complete each test. Be sure to document the results of each assessment to assist you in completing the reflection portion of the assignment below.
Self-Assessment Reflection
After completing the self-assessments, write a 1,000-1,250 words reflection in which you discuss the following:
1. Explain the characteristics of conscious leadership as defined by Mackey and Sisodia and compare them to the primary characteristics of two or three other leadership theories you have studied.
2. Describe the importance of self-awareness, self-concept, and emotional intelligence and the role they play in enabling effective conscious leadership.
3. Briefly summarize the results of each test you completed. In general, do you believe the results represent who you are as a leader? How will the results inspire you to be a conscious leader? Explain.
4. What insights have you gained about yourself after taking the assessments? How could this knowledge influence your values, attitude towards others, and how you approach new tasks in the workplace?
5. Explain the significance of the self-assessment results in relation to your individual behavior, your behavior within groups, and within organizations. What have you learned about your ability to manage others within the workplace? What have you learned about what it takes to manage yourself or how you respond to the management tactics of others within the workplace?

We know that attendance at school has a direct impact on a scholar’s success. We expect all scholars to be in school on time every day, because every minute matters. Teachers submit attendance, and it is Ops’ responsibility to do Whatever It Takes to communicate to all families and to drive towards 100% attendance.
Task
Below are the two charts that our Dean of Students sends to our staff in a daily email with our key culture “health stats” regarding our school’s attendance, homework completion, and uniform rates for the day. As the Office Coordinator, it’s your job to make this ready to go for the Dean of Students – all she should have to do is copy and paste in to her email.

Explain the intermediate disturbance hypothesis as it relates to successional stages and species diversity.
Your response should be at least 75 words in length.
please revise the essay to the instructors needs: “in this draft, your main task is to re-organize. This draft begins right away by describing the ad, but it should really begin with an introductory paragraph that orients the reader and announces your main claim. You also should consider presenting your description of the ad in one chunk, without analyzing the pieces until later. Your final paragraph in this draft does a nice job of summing up your overall interpretation, but that interpretation needs to be infused throughout the entire essay, rather than saved for the end.”
Your first two writing assignments ask you to analyze and interpret two print advertisements. Ads are always persuasive, in the sense that they want to convince you of something. At the surface level, the ad wants to persuade you to buy the product (therefore, the main claim of the ad is “you should buy X”). But at a deeper level, the ad wants to persuade you to BELIEVE something about the brand; it attempts to connect the brand with some image or values. (For example, compare an ad for Dos Equis and an ad for Budweiser—both are beer brands, but their images are different.)
Your analysis will show how the features of the ad (the visuals and the words) combine to create a picture that connects with a specific image of the brand. In other words, you will present an interpretation of the ad—what you think it “means” or adds up to.
Your final drafts should present, explain, and support an interpretive claim about the ads you are analyzing in the essays.
The most successful final drafts will meet the following standards:
Page Length: Your final drafts should each come close to 1000 words. (That’s four pages double-spaced.)
The United States has a dual court system; a federal court system and state court systems. The structures of these court systems are very similar in that they are broken up into multiple levels to handle both criminal and civil matters. Additionally, each court system has a structure that allows for an appeal process. In some situations, cases from the state court systems can be appealed to the federal court system.
In your initial response, compare and contrast the role and function of the federal court system with the individual state court systems. As part of your discussion consider both the administrative operations of the courts, as well as the public facing (court hearing) aspects. Conclude your response by stating whether or not you believe one court system is more effective than the other and briefly defend your position.
