- Set the timer
The deadline may be the best reason you can continue to write and finish your essay. It might be too relaxed and not enough motivated if you still have a few hours left until you have to turn in your paper. Think about how long (real) you must complete and set your timer for your essay. Without telling yourself that you have plenty of time you’re forced to complete your essay.
- Turn off your internal perfectionist
It could be a difficult trip. It’s not about making your essay rush and effort, but it’s about continued writing rather than sticking in the middle of a sentence because you think you can’t come up with a thesis statement idea for example, which would be genius sufficiently for you to get a good qualification.
Writing a good essay is usually a process where it is necessary to edit or change something you have already written by slowly polishing it. Try never to make your first attempt perfect. Continue writing just as it is, and look through later, until you reach the required word count. You only have to finish your first draft for now. Once you look it through, you might have new ideas.
- Take a small break
You are delicate and difficult brain processes, concentration and productivity, and creativity. You cannot just turn them on in your room like a light. You must let your brain rest for a while if you are too tired, sleepy, or have studied for several hours. Set aside your essay and try not to think about it for about 15 minutes. Make your dishes, listen to music or even watch your favorite television show episode. You can have a fresh look at the article and see what you can do about it once you come back to your essay.
- Use encouragement
Incentives can be used in different fields of life when it comes to motivation. You understand how incentives work if you remember your parents promising you a dessert following your dinner.
Now is the time to be an adult and to begin to work on your own motivation. You may believe that you will receive any kind of reward to complete your work – complete your essay. For instance, you can purchase clothes you saw in the store, go to a theater or even sleep in the morning. This strategy will encourage you to conclude your essay more quickly.
- Get assistance
You need only a little push or advice sometimes. From your friend, for example, or your tutor. This is not a question of asking your friend to write you an essay. But you can always get someone to look through your essay to give you ideas or to focus on the mistakes you made.
- Stay Away from Your Work
Many students agree that it becomes even more challenging to read your essay while it is being done. You may be deceived by the parts you have written, which you regard as too trivial or wandering.
In this case, your text should be avoided until your draft is finished. Alternatively, try to consider your essay as the piece someone else wrote. To help you, your friend may want to read your essay loudly or use many text editing programs – converting text to language.
