ÂPart 1: Preliminary Work and Justification
Complete the following preliminary work to prepare for a business-to-school partnership:
Research your school districtâ€™s policies for forming business relationships to ensure compliance with the regulations.
Assess your schoolâ€™s unmet or underfunded needs and consider which may be solved or improved by a business-to-school partnership.
Identify potential business partners and research their practices and resources to determine which businesses might be a good fit. Consider the benefits to both the business and the school and how technology and/or digital tools may be integrated with the partnership when conducting your research.
Select a business from within your community, the surrounding area, regionally, or nationally as a potential business-to-school partner. Assume that you have had in-person contact with the business and they are willing and able to initiate, build, and maintain a partnership with your school.
Write a 1-page justification in which you explain why you have selected the business and how the partnership will solve or improve your schoolâ€™s unmet or underfunded need(s).
Part 2: Business Partnership Proposal
Write a 2-page business partnership proposal to your selected business in which you address the following:
Prepare a partnership vision statement that explains the following:
Short-term and long-range goals
Benefits to the business, school, and students
Explain the roles of the stakeholders involved.
Develop partnership activities, for school-to-business interactions, to support the following:
Identified goals and expected outcomes
Describe the resources the business partner will provide, including technology and/or digital tools, to support the schoolâ€™s needs.
Create a comprehensive plan for maintaining the business partnership, to address the following:
Develop specific strategies for the school and business to address and resolve anticipated issues or challenges.
Compile the following for submission:
