Analyze the ideology and messages about culture in prime time television. Record 3 hours of prime time narrative programs. Prime is 7-10 p.m. CST and narrative programs are any fictional comedies or dramas. This excludes news programs, sports, and reality TV. Describe dominant culture and if and how it is reflected in these programs. Are there any examples or instances of alternatives to dominant culture. Be sure to use theories of media literacy and cultural studies as part of your analysis.
