Pick a company that you find interesting (NOT AT&T), then visit the company website and find a job posting. You will need to submit a copy of the posting along with your responses to the following two prompts:
- Based on what you have learned through the assigned readings, analyze the contents of the advertisement to identify language that would affect, either positively or negatively, the company’s compliance with employment law. Are the job requirements clear and related to the position? Are there any changes you would recommend? (25 points)
- Return to the company website to look for information about the company’s approach to diversity. How does it compare to AT&T’s approach? Do they also have a formal program? Diversity report? Something similar to AT&T’s employee resource groups and/or employee networks (see information about them beginning on pg. 25 of AT&T’s diversity report posted in this module)? Compare and contrast the two companies’s approaches. (25 points)
There is no specific length requirement for this assignment. The average student is likely to submit 3 single spaced pages plus a copy of the job posting. Answer the two questions in separate sections. Use APA style citations and provide a complete list of references. Your primary references for this assignment should be the textbook, company website, and company issued reports. You are welcome to use additional resources if necessary.
