In any supermarket in any town, you will find thousands of examples of product packaging. This mini project is designed to give you a better understanding of how branding, cobranding and packaging all work together to compete for your purchasing dollars.”
A. Go to a supermarket in your community
B. Select two product categoies that interests you : i.e. Ice Cream, cereal, laundry detergent, soup, frozen meals, coffee, etc.
C. Visit each area of the store where they are displayed . Write down a list of three products in the category that attract your attention first. Identify what it was about that products that attracted your attention (the Brand, the co brand, the package design, the shelf placement, the end cap?)
D. Of the three products, which one are you most likely to buy? Explain why you would chose the product.
